Dermocosmetics for atopic skin care available in pharmacies on Polish market

Summary
The aim of this work was to conduct the analysis of market offer of dermocosmetics intended for very dry and atopic skin care available in pharmacies on Polish market. 185 dermocosmetics available in pharmacies were analyzed in Wielkopolska in 2015 between February 1 and May 15. It was estimated the physicochemical forms of analyzed products and the range of application of emollients, natural oils/fats, vitamins and plant extracts. The analysis showed that dermocosmetics appear as cleansing products (cleansing gels, oils, emulsions, soap bars, micellar liquids and shampoos) and caring products (creams, balms, emulsions, lotions, caring sprays and oils). Emollients, oils/fats (shea butter, macadamia oil, evening primrose oil), and vitamins (C, E, panthenol) are the most popular ingredients.
