Summary
The paper contains a description of the raw materials derived from different plant species, varieties and taxa of the genus Mentha, detailing pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics raw materials. The naming of major utility species of mint was given. The quality requirements of mints as pharmacopoeial of raw material were described in detail. A list of mint cosmetic raw materials and their function in the cosmetic was compiled. Opportunities and the most com-mon use of food and beverage raw materials in the form of mint both fresh and processed is described.
