RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF SELECTED HAIR CONDITIONERS

Summary
In this work we have studied the effect temperature on rheological properties of several samples of hair conditioners. The measurements were carried out over the temperature range between 22 and 42oC. Our experimental data were described in terms of rheological model proposed by Ostwald and de Waele. It was observed that all samples exhibit a non-Newtonian behavior over the temperature range tested. It was found that the hair conditioners can be classified as a pseudoplastic fluid at each temperature. Moreover, the value of the apparent viscosity of the tested hair conditioners nonlinearly decreases with the increase in temperature.
