Alternative sources of energy in maritime transport

Key words:

source of  energy, sea transportation.

The maritime transport constitutes the main pillar of world commerce and the main impulse of globalization. Growth in shipping directly translates into rising air and water pollution. Thus, ships cause an important impact on quality air by greenhouse gases (GHG) and particulate matter  (PM) from exhaust gases. All air emissions from shipping have strong repercussions for human health and life expectancy as well as for terrestrial and marine ecosystem. The main goal of this work is analysis of possibilities supplying energy from renewable source for ships.
