Bleached microsphere as an active ingredient of cosmetic scrub creams

Key words:

bleached microsphere, cosmetic scrub creams

This paper presents results of our experimental studies on the bleaching of microsphere particles, which is a waste in the process of producing energy in coal-fired power plants. Discoloration of the technical microsphere was carried out by oxidation in an acidic medium. We present also the possibilities of using this waste in cosmetic products with the use of its peeling properties. We show the results of sensory tests of softening cosmetic cream for care of heels containing urea and bleached microsphere as an active ingredient responsible for scrubbing corneum epidermis. On the basis of sensoric and consumer research carried out, the use of bleached microsphere as an active ingredient of cosmetic peeling creams has been demonstrated.
