POSSIBILITY OF BLEACHED MICROSPHERE MANUFACTURING FOR COSMETICS PRODUCTION

Summary
This paper presents results of experimental studies on the possibility of bleaching of cenosphere which is a waste in energy production process carried out at coal-based power plants. We have examined the usability of various inorganic oxidants in the process of chemical decolorization of cenosphere. The degree of bleaching was monitored usinginstrumental methods of color measurement.The experimental research consisted of two stages. The aim of the first stage was the selection of a suitable oxidant for cenosphere bleaching process. In the second stage the optimal conditions for the cenospere bleaching process were determined. The resulting bleached microspheres are suitable as a component of cosmetic products.
